The 1914 founded Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works is one of the 13 factories of the DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH in Germany. Our factory is one of a kind and the last major repair and maintenance factory for the steam locomotives in Western Europe. In the past recent years, the Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works has developed into a competence center for historic railway vehicles.
In addition to the still dominating steam locomotives, the historic vehicles are also increasingly still seen at Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works.
But also historic diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, powered railway vehicles, modern railway cranes and railway snow plow vehicles belong to the range of services the Meiningen Steam Locomotives Works provides.
An essential advantage for our customers all over Europe is the fact that almost every part of the historic vehicles can be manufactured or purchased. Another advantage for the customers is that we are mobile and we are at your location on short notice.
